How does it work?
Optimal bone health requires more than Calcium and Vitamin D. Many people are unaware that other key minerals like Magnesium, Boron, Zinc and Manganese are also required as part of bone structure or are needed to support mineral utilisation or entry in the bone. Vitamins D and K are also required to support this process.

Directions:
Adults: Take 2 capsules twice daily with food.
Precautions and Contraindications:
Not to be taken during pregnancy or taking anticoagulant medication such as warfarin, without medical advice.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding:
Avoid use during pregnancy due to the vitamin K content.
Side Effects:
Considered well tolerated at the level recommended. The Aquamin® content in Clinician’s BoneCare Complete is well tolerated and without any significant side effects.

Not to be taken if pregnant or taking anticoagulant medication, without medical advice.
Drug Interaction:
Anticoagulants – Vitamin K and magnesium may interfere with the absorption of these medications and reduce the efficacy of anticoagulants. Monitor coagulation levels, particularly at the start of supplementation.
Antidysrhythmic medication – high doses of calcium may cause arrythmia’s when combined with digoxin.
Bisphosphonates – supplementation with calcium and magnesium decrease absorption of these medications, take at least 2 hours apart.
Calcium channel blockers – high dose calcium supplementation and vitamin D may reduce the effectiveness of these medications.
HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors – Vitamin D may reduce the bioavailability of lipitor, exercise caution if combining.
Quinolone and tetracycline antibiotics – minerals in Clinicians BoneCare Complete Caps can form insoluble complexes reducing antibiotic absorption. Take these medications at least 2 hours apart from mineral containing supplements.
Thiazide diuretics – decrease the excretion of calcium. Monitor calcium levels if used together to avoid hypercalcaemia.
Thyroid hormone replacement therapy – calcium may reduce absorption of levothyroxine, take at least 4 hours apart.
