WHAT IS NEEM?

Discovered thousands of years ago, the Neem tree is an evergreen, native to India and the medicinal healing properties have been used dating as far back as 4000 B.C.
The timeless healing properties have been passed from generation to generation.
Supported by centuries of use, and modern science, Neem is used to treat many skin conditions. Hundreds of studies in laboratories around the world have documented its efficacy in helping to treat diverse disorders.
Once exclusive to the Eastern world, the Western world has experienced and embraced the natural qualities of Neem.
The healing properties of Neem are spoken about in some of the world’s oldest books. The Sanskrit word for Neem was “Nimba,” which means “good health.” The Vedas called Neem “sarva roga nivarini”, which means “one that cures all ailments and ills”. (Panacea). It has also been referenced as “Divine Tree”, Life Giving Tree”, “Nature’s Drugstore” and “Village Pharmacy”.

WHY GREEN TRADING NEEM OIL?
The quality of the Neem oil changes according to the manufacturing methods
The kernels extracted from the seeds are transformed into oil: Either by a heat process that yields larger quantities, but in doing so lowers the insecticide content (azadirachtin) to only 300 ppm (by million), or by our patented cold process that allows a superior insecticidal rate to remain of over 1600 ppm. This cold process enables the oil to retain all of the well balanced nutrients which would otherwise be lost in heating.
Not all Neem oils are made equal….
Green Trading’s raw, cold-pressed, organic certified Neem oil is a natural product and as such has a strong odour. Unfortunately many other Neem oils are refined extracts, and some of them may contain solvent residues!
Our Neem oil is proudly produced by a patented process in the traditional Indian way.
Non toxic to humans, birds, earthworms and animals.

HEALING BENEFITS OF NEEM
When researchers first began looking at Neem about 50 years ago, they carefully detailed the biological activities of its various parts. That literature, unfortunately, is not available except in specialised medical libraries. Current reports generally note that Neem is recognized as one of a long list of “antis” including…
Anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic, anti-pyretic (fever), Anti-gastric (ulcer), anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-tumour, anti-histamine, anti-complement (similar to antioxidant), anti-carcinogenic and anti-anxiety.

ANTIOXIDANTS IN NEEM
One of the hottest topics in the natural foods industry today is antioxidants, probably because they play a critical role in preventing the damage that plays a significant role in initiating chronic degenerative diseases like Atherosclerosis, Diabetes, Heart disease, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s as well as speeding up the plain old (pun intended!) process of aging.
Oxidative stress is a natural process that occurs as cells produce energy. Free radicals, a by-product of this process, damage cells (including DNA) and tissue. The problem occurs when the body’s resources for fighting these free radicals or repairing the damage they cause aren’t adequate. Antioxidants are in many foods, and many of the health benefits of foods like blueberries, broccoli, and cranberries are directly related to their antioxidant levels.
The ORAC test (oxygen radical absorbance capacity), shows that all forms of Neem are extraordinarily high in antioxidants, and far higher than foods on the high-antioxidant lists. Along with its immune-boosting properties and high antioxidant levels, this may help to explain why neem is known around the world as “The Village Pharmacy.”

100% PURE NEEM OIL CAN EASILY SOLIDIFY EVEN AT LOW ROOM TEMPERATURES. SHOULD THIS HAPPEN, PUT THE BOTTLE IN WARM WATER (BELOW 95 DEGREES F) TO LIQUIFY. DO NOT PLACE IN BOILING WATER, AS THIS MAY REDUCE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE OIL.

Always take as directed and if symptoms persist see your natural health practitioner.
